No snow, but coming home from my friend's house I did do a "massive slide yo" because why the heck not? No one was around and it was totally worth it. Actually, most of it just consisted of loads of wheelspin, not much sliding, but whatever.

Lol, my slides are the exact opposite. Loads of slippage with almost no wheelspin. I just go into a corner at 110%, do a mini Scandi flick of the wheel and the back end just kicks out until I give it some power and it pulls straight again. I do this quite a lot on an uphill entrance ramp on the way to work in the mornings if it's rained.

Well I was just pulling out onto another road, so nothing high speed, just some good ol slow fun lol.

Oooh. Yeah, unless it's SUPER slippery out, my car has too much grip for any kind of fun like that. AWD is awesome...until you want to do a burnout, haha.

RWD with an open dif, yo. Lol that open dif is the devil sometimes

That's why I'm glad to have an older quattro AWD system. The diffs are mildly limited-slip by nature. For when that's not enough, I have a nifty button that locks the rear diff. >=D

Heh, this is the exit from a supermarket near me:

The surface is old concrete with a lot of aggregate showing, and the cement in between a bit worn away, so you're basically driving on shiny pebbles. When it's wet, it's plenty slippery. Also downhill and off camber for the left-hand turn.

Not sure you can quite see from Streetview, but it's possible to see if anything's coming from the right early enough that you can safely stop if it's not clear. If it is clear, give it a shoe-full of throttle and come out completely sideways - and then the grippier tarmac of the actual road will catch you, and the camber will now be helping you straighten out.

http://goo.gl/maps/HNYUN This is where I slid. This really small road intersects there with this pretty wide road, and it's straight both ways so you can see cars coming from really far away. As you can see, if it's wet it's perfect for kicking the tail out.
